A season which saw Stockport County win promotion to Coca Cola League One, with the clubs first ever victory at Wembley stadium and under the guidance of manager Jim Gannon.

Stockport County the History Makers
The 3rd March 2007, manager Jim Gannon led Stockport County to set a Football League record of nine consecutive wins without conceding a goal, by beating Swindon Town 3-0 at Edgeley Park
